This is the common mantis "Narrow wing" found in America. It is 3 1/2" when adult and comes in all green or green with brown wings. Gardeners use this species for their gardens. A good container for this species is the Medium Round, or Medium Hexagon. Pics are of the Chinese mantis, which is similar in appearance.
